Meet the team behind Muvo

Dr. Liu is a biomedical scientist and software engineer dedicated to making personalized, high-quality medical information widely accessible. He got his PhD at Harvard Medical School in bioinformatics and has worked with OpenAI, Anthropic, and other major AI firms to evaluate their AI large language models for biological knowledge and abilities. His work has been published in Nature Communications, JAMA Network Open, NeurIPS machine learning workshops, and the GPT-5 and Claude 4 system cards.
An avid volleyball player with a history of shoulder and thumb injuries, he was inspired to build Muvo after testing GPT-5 on the physical therapy "bar exam" and witnessing it outscore 90% of starting PTs. For each of his injuries, he did his own research to get answers before going to PT, but found the latest research and clinical guidelines to be hard to access, understand, and apply to his personal injury. He is convinced that something like Muvo is needed to give quick, personalized, evidence-based answers to common questions post-injury.
